Why should I burn Soy over Paraffin?

Derived from the soybean, soy wax is a hydrogenated vegetable oil that turns to a solid at room temperature. Soy wax contains nothing artificial, which makes it a better alternative to old-fashioned paraffin wax, which is made from petroleum oil and produces harmful by-products when burned or melted.

Unlike paraffin wax, which gives off black soot when burned, soy wax burns cleaner. Since paraffin wax is petroleum-based, burning it produces black soot that can potentially stain curtains, walls, and carpets inside the home. As a vegetable-based wax, soy wax does not give off any harmful by-products that might cause damage.

Are your fragrances phthalate free? What is a phthalate??

All our fragrances are phthalate free. Phthalates are used to dissolve raw materials in apothecary goods, medicine, and fragrances. Recently there has been concern linking high levels of phthalates to health issues, especially in children. While there are no regulations against phthalate use in candles, we decided not to work with fragrances with phthalates in them. The levels of phthalates typically found in a candle are not harmful to a consumer or manufacturer, but we decided that simpler is always better.

Are your products vegan? Do you or your suppliers test on animals?

Yes! The products that you buy from our studio today are 100% derived from American grown soybeans. To fragrance our products, we use a blend of the purest essential oils and phthalate-free perfume oils. Our creations are preservative and petroleum-free and you guessed it...VEGAN. We are happy to report that neither we nor our suppliers engage in animal testing.

Do you use essential oils in your products?

We use fragrance oils that are blended with various essential oils. While we love essential oils, we think that fragrance oils are better for use in our products, as the scent throw is stronger. Many essential oils tend to evaporate when they are burned because the flash point is so low.

 

 

How often are new scents/products released?

We are constantly releasing new scents. We aim to release new scents seasonally. Follow us on social media and sign up for our newsletter on the homepage for updates about upcoming products and services.

ORDERS & CUSTOMER CARE

How long will it take for my order to arrive?

Domestic orders leave our studio within 24 business hours and take 2-4 days to arrive via USPS. Wholesale order take 7-10 days to arrive depending on the season. We will be sure to contact you if there is any delay.

How can I track my order?

You will receive an email with tracking information once your order has shipped. If for some reason you did not receive this information, let us know at info@wahs.co and we will send it over.

Do you offer wholesale?

Yes! Please visit our wholesale inquiry on the bottom of the home page.

Is there a sales tax?

Sales tax may apply depending on local state regulations.

What shipping method do you use?

USPS, UPS, and FED EX are our most commonly used services.

What is "Wahs+ Shipping Flat"?

No one likes shipping so in an attempt to offer better savings for our customers we developed a budget option. This option is standard and orders will ship in 2-3 days via. USPS. 

Do you offer exchanges or returns?

At Wahs, all of our products are carefully inspected before they are shipped. Due to the nature of our products, open products cannot be returned or refunded. However, we will replace or refund products damaged during shipment if photographic proof of damage is submitted to Wahs, LLC within seven (7) days of delivery.



You may also exchange your product for another creation of the same size and price within seven (7) days of purchase. The buyer is responsible for shipping cost on all return items.

Can I send a product as a gift?

Absolutely! If you would like a gift note or if it's going directly to the giftee, just make a note at checkout. A sales receipt will be digitally sent to the purchaser and will not be included inside the box. 

Do you ship internationally?

Currently, we only ship to the United States, Canada, and Mexico. Other areas will be refunded. We hope in the future that we will be able to ship overseas. Exclusions: Clothing Merchandise sold internationally. :)
